Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is an independent discipline in the field of therapy, which, together with medicine and nursing, forms the three pillars of conventional medicine. Its main goal is to improve quality of life and treat physical dysfunctions and pain.

The areas of application of physiotherapy include therapy, rehabilitation, prevention, and health promotion, as well as palliative care. It is aimed at patients after accidents, with acute or chronic illnesses, people with disabilities, as well as healthy individuals. Physiotherapeutic services are reimbursed by health insurance companies. Training as a physiotherapist leads to a Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy.
